Thin gauge (0.5 mm) blades create less bone dust and less wasted product with less cutting force. These thin blades allor for an easier cutting action with less noise.

Thick gauge (0.6 - 0.8 mm) blades are stronger and more rigid than thin gauge blades. They allow for a straighter cutting action especially with worn guides.

Length

Pitch

Blade pitch refers to the number of teeth per inch (TPI) on the blade. To find the pitch count how many full teeth there are over one inch of the bandsaw blade.

Width
